South fall to a narrow defeat at Paties Road.
Haddington took the lead after a corner wasn’t cleared, but South responded just four minutes later. Ben McManus cut inside his man, drove into the box and fired home to bring us level.
Fletcher Hendry fired wide following good work from McManus before Stuart Martin was forced off just before the break.
The visitors regained the lead on 55 minutes, getting on the end of a through ball to poke past Elliot. South had a huge opportunity to level in stoppage time when Kenny O’Brien found James Scobie, whose ball across goal just needed a finishing touch, but nobody could get on the end of it.
