Match Report Mens Team - Sauchie Juniors

FULL TIME | Sauchie 1–2 Edinburgh South

A fantastic comeback and three hard-earned points at Beechwood Park! 👏

After falling behind in the seventh minute, South responded brilliantly, piling on the pressure and enjoying the better of the game for large spells. Despite our efforts, we went into the break a goal down.

The breakthrough came on 53 minutes when Kenny O’Brien’s corner went straight in! Just four minutes later, Jack Blaney’s ball forward found James Christopher, who outmuscled the centre-back before lifting his finish over the keeper to put South ahead.

From there, South showed real grit and discipline against a physical Sauchie side. As the hosts sent the ball forward late on, the boys stood strong with some fantastic challenges, including a crucial, game-winning tackle from Lucas McGarry to help secure the points.

Quality, character and a huge team effort. Get in, South! 🔴⚪
