FULL TIME | Whitburn 4–2 Edinburgh South

Defeat on the road for South on Saturday.

Ben McManus opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a superb curling finish into the top corner following good work from Murray Connolly and James Scobie. The hosts responded with two quick goals to turn the game around before adding a third to lead 3–1 at the break.

South pulled one back just two minutes into the second half when Lucas McGarry bundled home Scobie’s cross. We applied plenty of pressure and went close on several occasions but couldn’t find the equaliser we needed. Whitburn then added a fourth in the 86th minute to secure the points.
