A dramatic night at Holy Rood High School ends all square.

South started well and created a couple of half chances early on, but it was Tranent who took the lead despite strong protests from the South players for a foul in the build-up. The response was immediate as Sean McMorran fired home a composed strike from 20 yards to bring us level.

With the equaliser settling South, we began to take control of the game. JC was causing real problems down the right and the pressure paid off as we raced into a 4-1 half-time lead thanks to a superb strike from Sylva and two goals from Sam Forsyth.

The second half was a different story. South struggled to track runners and communicate defensively, allowing Tranent to claw their way back and eventually turn the game around to lead 5-4.

Late pressure finally told as JC grabbed a deserved equaliser to make it 5-5, with both sides having chances in the closing moments of a chaotic but entertaining match.
