Edinburgh South are back in cup action this weekend as we travel to face Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts in the RJM Sports League Cup 3rd Round.

South come into this one in strong league form, with recent wins against Crossgates, Bathgate and Preston Athletic showing the quality and attacking threat in the squad. Confidence is high, but attention now turns to the cup as we look to continue our run after progressing past Edinburgh United in the last round.

Our hosts also come into this tie off the back of some solid performances. Inverkeithing have shown they can score goals and pick up big results, including an impressive win away at Lochgelly Albert and a strong showing against Coldstream. They reached this stage with a convincing 4-1 win over Linton Hotspur before edging past Edinburgh University on penalties, so they’ll be full of belief on home turf.

With both sides in good form and a place in the next round on the line, this promises to be a competitive cup tie.
