Declan Roose Departs Edinburgh South

Everyone at Edinburgh South would like to thank Declan Roose, who will leave the club at the end of his contract.

A product of our youth pathway, Dec was part of our successful 2003 age group before enjoying a brief spell with our Under-20s. He then returned to the club to begin his first-team career and was a key member of our 2023/24 promotion-winning side, establishing himself as a regular in the team throughout the campaign.

After taking some time away from football, Dec rejoined the club midway through last season and once again played his part in another successful promotion campaign. He made 8 appearances in total, including 1 start and 7 appearances from the bench, scoring in our memorable 7-5 victory over league champions Armadale.

Dec's commitment to the club over the years, from progressing through our youth pathway to representing the first team across two promotion-winning campaigns, has been greatly appreciated. We thank him for everything he has contributed in an Edinburgh South shirt.
