Edinburgh South can confirm that Josh Whitson has departed the club after three seasons.

Josh leaves having played an important part in a hugely successful period for the club, helping South achieve two promotions during his time with us.

On the pitch, Josh has been a valuable and dependable member of the squad, consistently driving standards and setting an excellent example. His experience and attitude have also made him a huge help to the younger players coming into the group.

Off the pitch, Josh has been a firm favourite with everyone around the club thanks to his brilliant attitude and personality.

We’d like to thank Josh for everything he has given to Edinburgh South over the last three seasons and wish him all the very best for the future. ❤️🤍
