An incredible 8-goal thriller played out in brutal conditions as two attack-minded sides went toe to toe. Dalkeith raced into a two-goal lead on three separate occasions, but South showed huge character to keep fighting back and earn a 4-4 draw.
Sam Forsyth led the comeback with a superb double, firing home an outstanding free-kick before later securing the point with a composed finish across goal. McMorran got on the scoresheet after a huge 50-yard lung-busting press forced the goalkeeper into a mistake, with the ball rebounding off him and rolling into an empty net. James Christopher’s effort took a wicked deflection and looped over the keeper into the top corner to complete the scoring.
South were unlucky not to snatch a winner in the dying moments in a game that had everything.
