Another unforgettable experience for the team as we made the decent trek across to Port Glasgow for a cup clash. Thankfully the rain stayed away, but as always, the wind had plenty to say and played a huge role throughout the game.💨

We came out flying. Strong possession, great movement, and multiple early chances showed our intent, but the finishing touch just wouldn’t quite fall for us. An unlucky mistake saw us go 1- 0 down. Heads didn’t drop though- this team stayed hungry and determined.💪

After a brilliant collective effort, Nagore found the back of the net and brought us right back into it. Game on! 🙌The first half was fast, physical, and intense, but after another harsh refereeing decision we found ourselves trailing 3- 1 at the half time.

A quick team talk, a reset, and the belief was still very much alive. The desire was there- we knew we could win this. 💪The second half belonged to us. We dominated possession, pressed high, and created chance after chance, but luck just wasn’t on our side. Following yet another questionable referee’s decision, Port Glasgow after the corner extended their lead to 4–1.🙈

Still, we never stopped. Ciara stepped up and showed real quality to pull one back, and from there the pressure was relentless. In the dying minutes, we struck again- suddenly it was 4–3, and penalties felt inevitable. You could taste the comeback.😬

But the final whistle went, and with it our cup run came to an end..Gutted 🥺

Best of luck to Port Glasgow in the next round. As for us, it’s back to the drawing board- but with plenty to be proud of. An outstanding team performance, a formation that worked far better, and a group that is clearly growing game by game. Every single player gave 100% today.
