In a return to SWFL East competition following a couple of friendly games, a strong performance by the team saw them continue to build some solid momentum in season 2024-25.
In a fixture played at their regular home pitch at Holy Rood High School, South ran out 10-0 winners against Penicuk Athletic on Sunday to continue their 100% league record so far this season.
An opening goal by Louise Kerr (10) and a double from Rhea Kilgallon (27, 34) meant that South went into the break with a 3-0 lead.
A 3rd goal for Rhea Kilgallon after the break (59) saw her complete a hat-trick to continue being one of the leading scorers in the division.
As a stubborn Penicuk defence started to tire the hosts made the pressure tell with a hat-trick from Holly Hart (74, 77, 90), a brace from Niamh Inglis (85, 88) ,and a goal from Zoe Evans (75) seeing South score 7 in the second half to run out 10-0 winners at full-time.
The team have a week off from competitive games followed by a return to league action on Sunday 27th October away at McDermid Ladies.
