We're delighted to confirm that Josh Whitson will remain with Edinburgh South for the 2026/27 season.

Josh enters his fourth season with the club and has been a real asset since arriving at Paties Road. His athleticism, energy and stamina are huge strengths and make him an important player in the way we want to play.

Last season was unfortunately disrupted by injury, limiting Josh to 2 starts and 5 appearances from the bench, but he still contributed with an assist and showed the qualities we know he possesses whenever called upon.

Comfortable operating anywhere down the left-hand side or through the middle of the park, Josh's hunger to win, willingness to drive the team forward and positive attitude make him a valuable member of the squad.

A popular figure among the players and someone who brings plenty to the dressing room, we're delighted to have Josh back for another season and look forward to seeing him make a big impact in 2026/27.
