Match Report Mens Team - Armadale Thistle

Full time at the league champions and it’s 3 points for South in a brilliant end-to-end game.

Kenny got us started with a superb free-kick before Stuart Martin made it two with a clinical finish into the top corner. Armadale hit back straight away, but Stu restored the cushion with a stunning volley for his second. The hosts pulled one back from the spot just before the break.

The second half kept the same pace. Findlay struck the bar before Stu completed his hat-trick with a composed lofted finish. Kenny then added his second after good work from Lucas, before completing his own hat-trick on the hour following a brilliant run and cutback from Murray Connolly.

Armadale showed their quality with two quick goals to stay in it, but South responded again as Lucas’ free-kick was saved and Declan Roose reacted first to net his first of the season. The hosts grabbed a late fifth, but it couldn’t stop South taking all three points.

An entertaining, attacking game and a big result away to the champions.
