South book their place in the next round of the RJM Sports League Cup with a strong performance away from home.

We started on the front foot and forced the United keeper into a couple of early saves before taking the lead. A clever flick on from Ginge found Stu, who was brought down in the box. Fletcher Hendry stepped up and calmly slotted his penalty into the side netting.

South continued to control the game, dealing well with any United attacks, and doubled the lead through Ryan Findlay. A quick breakaway move saw Murray Connolly deliver an inch perfect pass, with Findlay finishing well to make it two.

The second half became more open and lacked the same intensity, but South remained organised. United pulled one back late on and pushed for an equaliser, but South stood firm to see the game out and secure the win.
