Match Report Mens U20s -Dunipace

Full Time | Edinburgh South U20s 2–7 Dunipace


A tough night for the U20s in the semi final.


South couldn’t have asked for a worse start, falling behind after just 20 seconds as a clearance caught the defence out and Dunipace capitalised early.


To their credit, South responded well and started to grow into the game, creating chances and getting their reward when Sam stepped up to fire home a well taken free kick – continuing his scoring form after last week’s hat-trick and Man of the Match performance.


The game remained open and competitive, but Dunipace edged back in front before South hit back again quickly through JC, who finished well to make it 2–2.


However, right on half time South conceded poorly from a corner to go in behind.


The second half proved a step too far. An early goal for Dunipace made things even tougher, and after going down to 9 men, the game became an uphill battle. Dunipace took control and saw it out, eventually extending their lead.


A difficult result, but one the group will learn from.


A big positive on the night was the debut of Harvey Moyes from the 09s, stepping up to make his U20s bow.
