Edinburgh South 4-1 Musselburgh Athletic
South came flying out the traps last night determined to put last week’s result behind us and gain revenge. Early chances fell to Ramsay and JC as South started brightly and kept Musselburgh pinned back.
The pressure paid off when Shane opened the scoring with a well-taken header after a brilliantly worked training ground routine. South doubled the lead soon after as Sean McMorran rose highest to power home another header and send us into the break 2-0 up.
The second half started exactly the same way and Shane grabbed his second of the night with a magnificent solo goal, picking the ball up 35 yards out, beating his man and calmly slotting past the keeper.
South continued to dominate with Conor and JC linking well on the right while Yaz and Joey caused problems down the left. The fourth arrived after great work from Sean, whose curling ball into the box was prodded home by Josh Stewart.
A late consolation goal for the visitors was the only blot on an otherwise excellent performance from this young South side.
