A thrilling final day victory for South as they end the season on a high with all three points.

South stormed into the lead after just 3 minutes with a fantastic team move, working the ball brilliantly from back to front before Aido slipped Stuart Martin in behind and Stu finished superbly. The lead was then doubled when Fletcher found Murray Connolly in the box, with Muzz holding off his man before turning and smashing an emphatic finish high into the roof of the net.

South continued their fast start and made it 3 when Muzz threaded a perfectly weighted pass through for Max Clark, who kept his composure to calmly slot home. The students pulled one back just before the break with a well worked ball across goal turned in at the back post.

Heriot-Watt started the second half brightly and reduced the deficit again after keeping a corner alive before a flicked effort found its way past Whitelaw. South restored their two-goal advantage when Sam Forsyth’s effort fell kindly into the path of Shane Majekodunmi, who made no mistake from close range.

The hosts grabbed another late goal right at the death with a close-range finish across goal, but South held firm to secure victory.

A brilliant way to finish the campaign, with South now having beaten every team in the league at least once this season.
