A strong first half saw South on top and deservedly ahead at the break thanks to a composed finish from the in form Murray Connolly.

Leith equalised shortly after half time but South kept pushing, showing real grit and determination. The pressure finally paid off seven minutes from time when Fletcher Hendry stepped up and buried a crucial penalty to seal the win.

A hard fought performance and a deserved place in the next round.
