New Signing - Sami Doig

✍️ SAMI DOIG SIGNS FOR EDINBURGH SOUTH

We’re delighted to welcome Sami Doig to Edinburgh South as he joins the club from Heriot-Watt University.

A quick, agile left-sided player, Sami adds quality and versatility to the squad. Comfortable both going forward and defending, he provides an attacking threat with his trickery and ability on the ball, while also offering the defensive solidity to play a number of roles down the left.

Sami is no stranger to the club, having come through our youth pathway before moving into senior football. More recently, he has become a familiar face around the club through his work as a Community Coach, earning the admiration of many of our young players and their families. His connection to Edinburgh South means he already understands the values and ethos that make the club special.

Manager Ainslie Hunter said:

"Sami is another young, exciting player who has already played a lot of games for someone of his age. He's also gained valuable experience playing with Scottish Universities, so he's a great addition who will bring even more competition to the squad.

He's very comfortable on the ball, can play at left-back or in midfield, and fits exactly the profile of player we're looking to bring to the club. We're looking forward to working with him and helping him continue his development."
