It’s cup football this weekend as we make the trip to face Thornton Hibs with a place in the semi-finals on the line.

Both sides come into this one in strong form. South have picked up big results in recent weeks, including wins over Whitehill Welfare, Edinburgh Uni, Bathgate and Crossgates, showing real attacking threat and resilience.

Thornton Hibs have also been in solid form, progressing through the rounds with wins over Preston Athletic and Newburgh, while picking up positive league results along the way.

The two sides know each other well from the league this season, with one win apiece – setting this up perfectly for a proper cup tie.
