Edinburgh South return to First Division action this Saturday with a trip to Ferguson Park to face Whitehill Welfare.

South come into the match full of momentum after a dramatic comeback last weekend. Trailing 4-1 away to Arniston Rangers, the squad showed incredible character to fight back to 4-4 before holding their nerve to win the penalty shootout and progress in the League Cup.

Attention now turns back to the league, with South sitting 6th in the table with 29 points from 18 games, and looking to close the gap on the teams above.

Whitehill Welfare have also picked up some recent positive results, including a 3-1 win over Bathgate in the league and a 3-1 victory over Tweedmouth in the League Cup. They currently sit 12th with 24 points from 21 matches.

The recent head-to-head record has favoured South, including a 3-0 win earlier this season and victories of 3-1 and 1-0 in last season’s meetings.
