U20s Match Report - Leith Athletic

A home defeat for the U20s to kick off the season. South went 2-0 down in a three minute spell early in the first half before South starting to gain a foothold in the game. A wonder strike from Joey Hunter pulled it back to 2-1 at half-time.

The game was finely balanced before a Leith breakaway against the run of play made it 3-1. Multiple changes to both sides followed and a couple of late goals from Leith saw them run out 5-1 winners.

A lot to build on for a very young South team made up entirely of 2007 and 2008 players.

MOTM: Sean McMorran

Sean was excellent in posession and a danger in both boxes. Unfortunately a knock forced him off and the team missed his presence on the park after that.

The South starting line up saw Goalkeeper Callum McDonald step up from the U18s due to a injury.
