South go into the game in good form, coming off a strong 4-1 win over Musselburgh Athletic. The boys also ran out 4-1 winners in the reverse fixture earlier in the season with a confident and controlled performance. An incredible 8-goal thriller played out in brutal conditions as two attack-minded sides went toe to toe. Dalkeith raced into a two-goal lead on three separate occasions, but South showed huge character to keep fighting back and earn a 4-4 draw. Sam Forsyth led the comeback with a superb double, firing home an outstanding free-kick before later securing the point with a composed finish across goal. Edinburgh South 3–2 Arniston Rangers A hard-fought three points at Holy Rood High School. South made a blistering start with Majekodunmi firing us ahead inside 20 seconds after a superb through ball from Forsyth. The pressure continued and Forsyth doubled the lead with a brilliant run and finish following a perfectly weighted pass. Arniston fought back with a penalty before punishing a failure to clear our lines from a corner just before the break to make it 2–2 at half time.
